BEHIND THE CURTAIN

Once I set on a course to defy the cosmetic giants, I enrolled in Esthetician school . It was during a class project that I developed my first product, Daily Cleansing Milk.  The  class assignment was to create a complete facial treatment using only natural ingredients found in your kitchen. At that time, the cosmetic buzz was all about  AHA’s, or Alpha Hydroxy Acids. I researched and learned that AHA’s, while sounding somewhat new-age and complicated, were simple components found naturally in  foods. The most notable and highly effective AHA was glycolic acid which is found in sugar cane. 

  I proceeded to measure the pH level of anything I could find in the kitchen to formulate my “refrigerator facial”. My fascination and determination flourished beyond the class assignment.  What I learned was that basic ingredients, with the appropriate pH level could push cellular turnover without negative side effects. I started using my natural recipes in my salon…. first with my facial clients, then hair clients.  The customers participated enthusiastically and loved the results.

   My salon-proven recipes needed to be replicated for personal use without fear of spoiling or the need for refrigeration. At first, it seemed impossible to find a lab that would work with a new-timer like me. I could not afford the astronomical development fees nor could I finance the minimums for manufacturing. I was determined to be self-funded, so I basically pounded the pavement, (by mail), until I found a small but capable lab just outside of Dallas, Texas. Together, we started sharing my formulas with the world.

Thirty years later, I am fortunate and proud to collaborate with 5 of the finest cosmetic laboratories in the United States. Every formula and product was created in our salon and has been customer tested and approved . 

Our promise if to use the highest quality ingredients to offer "hero" products that will deliver visible results. We never test on animals and blend science with nature for the most effective solutions.

 My philosophy is that packaging MUST be honest. I will not romance a customer to purchase a product by using overpriced decoration.  

  We pledge to protect the planet by NOT adding outer boxes or packaging layers that you will probably throw away.

 All of our plastics are recyclable.

Ingredients are printed directly on the container so the customer always has the information needed to assess for potential allergic responses.

Our skin care features dose-dispensing packaging  which our clients really appreciate.  Our airless pump bottles and jars keep the formulas clean and bacteria free. No more fingers dipping in jars. The appropriate dose is automatically dispensed for daily use and eliminates waste.
